The Hub was built through the Federal government's 'Building the Education Revolution' initiative and was opened in 2012.
The Hub is the teaching and learning centre of the school. It provides a wireless, flexible learning space for several classes to use at the same time.
The Hub facilities
This multi-purpose wireless space enables all students an opportunity to come together and share information. It houses the:
Computer lab: incorporates 28 new computers for whole class access and 2 interactive whiteboards. It can be used for a whole class or partitioned off to have 2 groups of 14 working.
STEM lab: houses a large resource collection to support the STEM learning. The STEM lab facilities the students learning of coding, robotics and 3D printing
Meeting room: this room is ideal for large group instruction. It houses an interactive whiteboard and is used for professional development of our staff.
Flexible, adaptive seating: This seating allows for small group or whole class instruction where every child can easy see and participate.
Green room: a small group space that allows students to work with ICT equipment to construct digital movies and slides which form the basis of our PBL weekly lessons
Teacher’s room: a small space for groups of teachers to access for planning, moderation and meetings.
